Emirates passenger reviews

Emirates reviews are pretty favourable, with most passengers enjoying the above average Emirates inflight experience, although it can be a little mixed on shorter flights. Emirates Seats which include a great new business class seat, and the Emirates Fleet includes the Boeing 777, which deliveres an uprated experience in all cabins. All seats on the longhaul aircraft have Emirates inflight entertainment seatback TV screens, with AVOD play on demand. There is also Emirates inflight wifi on the Boeing 777. Emirates inflight meals are generally pretty good, and all are complementary. Emirates Drinks are also free on board.
International Business Class
Seat not the best, some old style recliners.
Food good, and with a walk up bar
Lounges great at many locations.
International Economy Class
Seat is OK, but very narrow on the 777.
Entertainment Ok, lots of choice, very US based
Food & Drinks so-so food: not really the best. Free bar.
Aircraft Boeing 777 to be avoided.

6/10 | Business Class Longhaul

I can't help but be disappointed. Boarding was chaotic, and I was forced in the Economy queue despite having a Business Class ticket. Business class passengers have to give priority to economy class! the Business Class seat is narrow (232 seating in business class). Extensive film selection, but the info and guidance (for choosing films) in the paper Magazine seemed to have been written by an idiot.

Disappointed very narrow seats

5/10 | Economy Longhaul

The service is very poor and some cabin crew can appear disinterested. I previously used British Airways which has excellent service levels and was expecting similar service and better from Emirates and was sorely disappointed. The aircraft used from Gatwick have tiny seats and I was squashed and worried for my safety as I was in a row of three, and I worried about how I would get out in a hurry, Although my flight to Dubai from London was on a new fleet.Emirates seats are the smallest I've experienced with 10 abreast, whereas BA use 9 abreast to Dubai. The cabin crew can miss rows when serving meals or drinks and it's just an annoying service.I expected so much and had high hopes and was very disappointed. All style with no substance.

Cost cutting at Emirates continues

5/10 | Economy Longhaul

I always fly with Emirates and normally have good experiences with the airline even in Economy. Flying to Sydney this year its clear to see an awful lot of costcutting at play with Economy Class. Alas it is sad to see that gone are the days of personalised service, care for passengers or the little perks that used to make travelling with them so great.Even the hot towels having been ditched, as has the second meal service out of Gatwick. Its a shame to see such a good airline go down the low cost route, but at least they keep the price low now.

Emirates are an OK airline, but I wouldn't rave about them any more. The flight get you from A to B, but all the old frills are gone.At Gatwick the staff clearly didn't care much about checking us in, or seating us together.Onboard the service was OK but slow. We only had one drink offered when we got our meal, and I had to walk up to the kitchen to get one about three hours later.Food trays are now much smaller than they were.As economy passengers your left on your own.

Emirates are terrible

0/10 | Economy Longhaul | London - Gatwick to Auckland

I am writting this review so everyone knows how bad EMIRATES AIRLINES really are. On the 12th of Feb this year me, my daughter and my best friend were travelling to New Zealand for an important family wedding when myself and my best friend were both served wrongly reheated chicken. As we all know plane food is not very nice at the best of times but there is no reason why the food thats meant to hot should be given to us to eat only slightly warm. I am gluten intolerant and my friend likes to eat gluten free food so we both had gluten free meals on the plane. Specific meals are brought out first before the other passengers get there food. You would think that specific meals would definatly be cookedreheated properly as the person eating the food obviosly has a sensitive stomach. But this was not the case on our flight. Infact completely the opposite. And even when we asked for our food to be reheated again because it was clearly not hot enough to eat the crew on the plane became very rude towards us and took our food away moaning and complaining. Luckly for my friend he had only taken one bite of his chicken but i was very hungry so I had nearly eaten all of mine before my friend told me to stop eating it because he knew it was meant to be hot not slightly warm. When different crew members gave us our food back they to were very rude. Treating me and my friend like we were in the wrong for asking for are food to be cooked properly. All the crew from gatwick to dubai were very unhelpful, unfriendly and Rude!! Nearing the end of our flight to dubai I started to feel sick and had a crippling stomach ache. We had a 3 hour stop over in Dubai airport. For the first 2 hours I was not feeling well but I tried to just forget about it. But 30 minutes before we were meant to be bording the plane I couldnt ignore it any more and I had to run to the toilet where I spent the next 45 minutes in complete agony suffering with the worse diarea I had had in years. As a result we missed our next flight to Auckland. When I made it out of the toilet we all ran as fast as we could to make it to the gate hoping we would still make our flight. We arrived at the gate one minute late and they had finished bording. The staff at the airport again were terribly rude and all they did was tell us it was my fault we had missed the plane. I tried to explain to them about how I had been ill in the toilet and it was because of the plane food but they didnt care at all that I was suffering. After another hour on and off the toilet I felt so bad I had to go see the doctor at the airport. The airport doctor could see I was not well and made me stay in a hospital bed at the airport for at least 2 hours to make sure I was ok. Because we missed our flight that day I had to spend money on a hotel that night for us in Dubai and pay and extra 1200 on more tickets to fly out the following day!!!5 other people also attending the same wedding as us who also flew with Emirates had there luggage lost by Emirates and only just got it back the day before the wedding after spending a week in New Zealand with out any clothes. Please anyone who is thinking of flying with Emirates any time soon be warned. If your tickets are refundable I would get your money back. Emirates are not a cheap airline so they should not be under cooking food or be so rude to people when they are in the right. We deserve better from them when we are spending so much money!!!I have been travelling around the world, and I have NEVER had such a bad experience with any other airline. Come on Emirates you need to sort this out. There are many airplanes company out there we can choose, so make sure you treat people properly and with respect, because that's what we pay for and we deserve it!!!So thanks to Emirates my whole holiday was ruined. Not only was I ill but was a day late for the wedding and had no spending money when I was there as I had to spend it all on more flights. Sort this out Emirates. I hope someone from Emirates will read this and do something about it. What was meant to be a special holiday turned into 2 weeks of illness and boredom in another country.

I really dislike the recliner seats on the 777 they are to narrow. The seats on the A380 in economy are better but I have noticed that cutbacks are there in the food the food is barely eatable but the service is nice.

In flight meals

3/10 | Business Class Longhaul | Airbus A380 | Manchester Ringway to Singapore - Changi

Using Emirates several times a year I have found not only the standard of the food dropping, but the choices seem to be on 2 monthly rota. I flew September, November 2017, January 2018, exactly the same menu, chicken biryani, beef cobbler and trout. This is why I am now changing my airline because of Emirates cut backs. Plus the business class lounges in Dubai are an absolute disgrace, always full, queuing for the toilets, little chance of a shower and very noisy. Buck your ideas up Emirates or you will loose a great number of premium passengers.

5/10 | Economy Longhaul | Airbus A380 | Glasgow to Sydney

I sued to love Emirates, but I can't help feeling that they are going downhill.Only one meal served half way through the flight from Glasgow to Dubai 4 hours into the flight when everyone had just gone to sleep. Then to Sydney, I spent 185 for a seat with extra legroom on the A380, which was broken and would not stay reclined. The crew offered to move me to middle seat at the back wasting my money. However, the "extra legroom" seat at the front of the plane has space where lots of random groups of passengers chose to stand right infront of the seat, and talk, kick my ankles and tread on my feet. I asked Emirates for a refund, but after a month they wrote back with pages of excuses saying a refund was out of the question but saying just how much they were looking forward to welcoming me back on board in the future. Yes, right.

This was my first time flying on Emirates A380 and it was an excellent experience. Spacious, comfortable and huge amounts of storage space. Attentive but unobtrusive service from friendly crew. I ordered a vegan meal so received the now somewhat expected ratatouille and fried potato cubes which was a little underwhelming. After that I has breakfast with a huge serving of lentils and more ratatouille so I decided to give that a miss and just take advantage of the pastries that were offered round instead. Managed to sleep for a decent amount of time on this flight so arrived feeling fresh and rested. A great flight and great service but my food option could perhaps have been a little better.
