Delta Airlines has moved into the new International terminal at Atlanta airport, and with it opened a new lounge. The new concourse F at Atlanta's Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal operates for most incoming and outgoing international flights, complementing the existing concourse E and adds 12 gates capable of handling wide-body jets.

Delta has twice-daily flights from Atlanta to London Heathrow.

The new facility eliminates the need for Atlanta-bound passengers to recheck their baggage and clear security at concourse E. There is a shuttle service connecting passengers to the domestic terminal, parking facilities and MARTA train services to downtown Atlanta.

The new Atlanta Delta Sky Club, is designed in the latest Delta style, with deep blue, and bright white walls. It is quite large, with a vast open area and double height storie with space for 300 passengers, and eight shower suites. At the far end is the 'beats' lounge: a small business centre with six computers, free wifi, and a bar with free house wine or unbranded beer, or premium wines, sparkling wine and spirits available for purchase.

The lounge is accessable by taking the escalator in the middle of the main departure area, next to the 'Coach' shop. A daypass costs US$50.

The latest Delta Sky Club is part of Delta's plans to roll out the new design of Sky Clubs, including renovations at New York's La Guardia Airport, a flagship Delta Sky Club at New York-JFK opening in spring 2013, and a better bar and food at the Delta Sky Club in Los Angeles International Airport.
