US Airways shut Gatwick lounges

The dedicated lounges at London Gatwick airport for US Airways are to close on September 5th. The area used for the lounge will reopen as "the Club" the following day under new ownership by a non-airline company. The Club will be available to departing Gatwick Envoy (business class) customers only. You will receive an invitation to The Club upon your check-in. It will not be available to US Airways Club or Star Alliance Gold members.

The arrival lounge will close permanently.

Northwest Airline currently uses the US lounge at London Gatwick, so Northwest passengers will not be able to access a lounge either.
